Topics in Global Issues and Perspectives Discovering Common Ground Across Differences

This course brings a unique disciplinary or interdisciplinary lens to the study of global issues and perspectives, taking students beyond the coursework they would ordinarily find in their major programs of study. It may draw upon the arts, social sciences, natural sciences, humanities, and/or the study of business to illuminate global issues by examining culture, history, power relations and dynamics, (in)justice and (in)equity, and the issues of dependence and interdependence between parts of the world. They will accomplish this by engaging in perspective-taking, inclusive of non-dominant or non-U.S. perspectives.
