Undergraduates with a SSTE pathway added to their major will be fulfilling all the requirements for a BA or BS in addition to requirements to earn a single subject teaching credential.

Integrated SSTE students take the following coursework sequenced from sophomore through senior year:

TED 503 - Introduction to Special Education
TED 502 - Teaching Emergent Multilingual Students
SSTE 415 - Foundations of Secondary Education
SSTE 450 - Instructional Design I
SSTE 450L - Instructional Design I: Content Specific Lab
SSTE 475 - Fieldwork Seminar I
SSTE 474 - Fieldwork Supervision I
SSTE 454 - Foundations of Literacy
SSTE 427 - Education Teacher Performance Assessment
SSTE 440 - Culturally Responsive Classroom Environments
SSTE 480 - Instructional Design II: Content Specific Area
SSTE 485 - Fieldwork Seminar II
SSTE 486 - Fieldwork Supervision II

Requirements for Preliminary Credential

Verification of US Constitution knowledge by exam/course(s).
Verification of CPR (adult, infant, and child) certification.
