Chemistry, BA (AS-T Chemistry)

The AS-T in Chemistry recognizes 60 transferable units and the completion of the IGETC certification, which fulfills all lower-division Core Curriculum requirements of Saint Mary’s College. This transfer degree is designed to fulfill most, if not all, lower division requirements for the major in Chemistry, BA.

Students who earn the AS-T in Chemistry can streamline their path to a BA in Chemistry with a total of 64 semester units. This streamlined path ensures efficient progress towards the ultimate goal of completing the BA degree in two years.

This roadmap aims to facilitate a smooth transition from community college to Saint Mary’s College, optimizing academic planning and ensuring students are well-prepared for upper division coursework in their chosen field of study

A minimum of 50 upper division units must be completed for degree. This roadmap is a sample pathway. Check with a major advisor regarding the most appropriate course sequence for you. 60 units minimum will be transferred with this degree, however up to 74 transfer units can be applied to the lower division and lower division free electives if articulated.
