EDUC 734 - Theory and Practice in Literacy

Prerequisites
Acceptance into training as a Literacy Coach at Saint Mary’s College. Successful completion of EDUC 632 and 633.

This course examines theories of cognitive, linguistic, cultural, and socio-historical learning and their practical implications for teaching students. An emphasis is placed on observation and responsive teaching for preventing literacy failures.
