EDAD 915 - Dissertation Proposal Research Seminar This course is designed to support students in the conceptualization and development of the research literature connected to their dissertation topic. Students will develop theoretical frameworks to explore research questions of interest. Additionally, students will explore the connections between these frameworks and quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research designs, while considering issues of validity, reliability, subjectivity, generalizability, and limitations. In addition to applications for dissertation research design, an emphasis is also placed on understanding the various models of educational assessment and using data to make decisions in the workplace. Finally, this course is designed to support students as they review the literature and prepare a literature review for their dissertations.
