COUN 621 - Human Development & Family Relationships This course is an exploration of the individual and family life cycles, emphasizing the contextual relevance of history, culture, ethnicity, class, religion, and gender. Major traditional and more recent developmental theories are examined, with an emphasis on relevant research and their applicability to all genders and families from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Influences of developmental issues on individuals and family relationships are addressed. Clinical implications are identified and considered.
