COUN 600 - Introduction to Counseling Research This course introduces students to behavioral science research methodology and application and provides students with skills for accessing counseling literature through several venues (e.g., Internet, databases). The course includes an introduction to fundamental concepts of research design and methodology, as well as the basic types of statistical analysis. Ethical issues in designing and conducting research and disseminating the results are covered, as well as additional elements and aspects of reviewing and evaluating the professional literature in counseling and education, to promote the students’ abilities to appropriately and effectively apply research to practice.
