AH 101 - Introduction to World Art Lower Division
AH101 Introduction to World Art provides students with a first view of how art has both inspired and expressed human emotions, beliefs and social structures for the last 10,000 years throughout the world. Students will understand interactions and reciprocal influences throughout continents and cultures and realize that we are still part of this great conversation. In this course, hands-on activities constitute an integrated creative practice component planned to enrich the analytical part. These activities will vary and range from learning about ikebana, to creating portraiture and miniature painting, cubist and baroque art.
