MP 200 - Media Ethics and Ecologies Lower Division
Prerequisites No Prerequisites
This course facilitates the study of “media environments”, as media ecology is often described, from a perspective of ethical concern. The course explores how these environments - from social media to the isolated bubbles of AirPods - shape our lived existence and personal identity, as well as reinforce inequity and prejudice. The course asks students to ask critical questions about our ethical involvement - and moral responsibilities - when making and consuming media.
