MP 100 - Media Production Tools and Techniques

This course introduces students to basic digital media production tools and techniques, as well as organized media production workflows. It is a hands-on class that places students in a variety of different crew roles in order to develop effective communication and collaboration skills. Students learn basic videography and sound recording principles using their smartphones, then use increasingly professional equipment - DSLRs, video cameras - as the semester progresses. Students learn picture, sound and color editing techniques in iMovie, as well as the Adobe Premiere editing suite.
