ART 104 - Basic Photography Lower Division
This course provides an introduction to photography as an art practice medium. Students learn technical skills in the use of the camera, in addition to production and post-production techniques, software, output to digital printing systems, and technical and aesthetic theories. Students will study the expressive power of light, composition, contrast, depth, angles, patterns, and texture. Students apply skills and knowledge gained through the semester to explore political, social, aesthetic, or personal subject matter and produce a personal project.
