JAN 129 - The Science of Happiness and Well-Being
MTH, 6:15 PM -9:30 PM
In this class, you will learn about research-based techniques for increasing happiness and well-being. The course features lectures, in-class discussions and opportunities to share what you have learned from your weekly assignments. There will be readings and videos assigned as well as homework. However, the majority of time outside of class will be spent carrying out a variety of happiness exercises and reflecting upon the effects of your experiences in written assignments. There will also be opportunities to discuss and share what you learn with others in the class.
One technique for increasing happiness that we will explore in this class is freestyle dancing. So, you can expect dance breaks during class. You don’t have to be a good dancer. You just need to get off your chair and move with the music.
